![]() Like Mk2, Maschine Mk3 is USB bus-powered - an impressive achievement, given that it not only incorporates two full-colour screens but also an audio interface (see Wired for sound). This gives the whole unit a much classier appearance, making the buttons on all other Maschines look comparatively chunky and toy-like. The LED backlit buttons have been overhauled: all but the Group and top-row function buttons are now solid black with cutout lettering allowing the light through. It’s 0.25" longer than Mk2, an inch shallower at its deepest, and weighs 0.4kg more. We never had any issue with Mk2’s build quality, but Mk3 takes the device’s physicality to new heights, its all-metal construction, sturdy knobs and firm, clicky buttons putting it right up there with Ableton’s Push 2 - the current controller construction benchmark. It just depends on your workflow I guess.Maschine Mk2 made minimal changes to the layout and construction of Mk1, but Maschine Mk3 is a total redesign. This isn't much of a problem if you work with a lot of samples and grooves, but for me that means I'm creating and editing stuff in Maschine then dragging it over into Cubase as audio clips. And, apparently Maschine software is not multi-threaded, because it's a bad CPU hog (as is a lot of the Native Instruments stuff). I need to be able to open and do lots of work with the editors for each non-Native Instruments plug-in. I'm very keyboard/synth/PC composition process-centric in my workflow, so Maschine needs to be out of my way (it sits to my right, on a drum stand, where I can reach it easily when doing one of the three activities above, but then I want it out of my way. But to me, it is a drum machine, sampler, and "backbone groove" sequencer - sort of a replacement for the old Akai units (but of course it does more). Really happy with this thing & at half the price it was a steal.Īll very useful if you want to use it as your centerpiece DAW, for which it is quite capable of being. I honestly dont think I'll be using Live much anymore as I'm really enjoying the total hands on factor this Maschine gives you. The tight integration with Komplete is even better now also. The jog wheel is an excelent addition as is the volume knob which can be used to control just about any level. I also love the touch sensitive knobs which also give you a lot of feedback on different parameters. This thing is in a totally different class to the Mk1, the screens are amazing & give you a lot more visual feedback than the old ones. Well I've only had it for a couple of weeks but I think it's a bit of a game changer for me. This Maschine is in mint condition and will make a fun and productive addition to any musician's arsenal! I'm also throwing in a home made stand that elevates the back making it easier to work on & there is an e-voucher for $25 to spend in the NI store with the software. New Maschine 2.0 DVD with unused license code (free upgrade to 2.2)Įverything that you need to enter into the world of Maschine & trust me you will not be disappointed.New Komplete elements DVD with unused license code.Native Instruments Maschine Mk1 unit (fully functional and bus powered). The included sound banks come with full version's of NI's amazing Massive synth and the cool Reactor Prism synth. ![]() This Maschine will take full advantage of this awesome software. ![]() A sonic palette as vast as your imagination. 8627 samples, 445 full drum kits, 388 multi-sampled instruments, 403 sliced loops, 1200 patterns, and 38 projects, plus five outstanding drum synths. The included MASCHINE sound bank software comes loaded with an 8 GB sound library, created by renowned sound designers and artists. It also comes with a decksaver cover to keep any dust out & looks cool. The unit is in mint condition & has never been gigged. ![]() This software gives the Maschine the exact same functionality of the latest Maschine MK 2. This software is un-registered & comes with the serials so you dont have to go through the hassle of switching over the license. I have purchased a new Maschine Studio and had already upgraded my software to Maschine 2.0-2.2 & already have the Komplete package so I didn't need to use the software included with the Studio, so I'm including the newer 2.0-2.2 software and the Komplete selection which came with it. ![]() This is an auction for a very gently used Native Instruments Maschine Mk1. So when NI dropped the price of the Maschine studio this month I had to snag one so my MK1 unit is now up for sale on ebay right now if anyone is interested. ![]()
